Josip Botteri Dini was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1943 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts under Prof. Miljenko Stančić in 1968. He has had over a hundred one-man exhibitions in Paris, Milank Frankfurt, Padua, Toronto, Los Angeles, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Mostar, Split, Dubrovnik and elsewhere. Besides painting and graphics, he works extensively in stained glass and mosaics. The most significant part of his opus is of sacred inspiration: the Church of the Holy Cross in Melbourne, the Church of St. Dominic in Split, the Dominican monastery in Bol, the Church of St. Anthony in Pula, the Church of Christ the King in Porto d’Ascoli (Italy), the Church of the Holy Cross in Wulkaprodersdorf (Austria), the Chapel of the Apostolic Nunciature in Vienna, the Dominican monastery in Dubrovnik etc.

His works are part of the following collections: the Vatican Museum, Branislav Dešković Gallery in Bol, the Gallery of Arts in Split, the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb, the Museum of the City of Šibenik, the Collection of the Zagreb Archdiocese and the Biškupić Collection. Josip Botteri Dini is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Split. <
